1941 Studebaker Champion

Condition and History.  It is "As Good As It Looks."  What a gorgeous car this restored Studebaker is.  Its not a perfect car, but you would have to be a picky person to find much wrong with this classic.  This had to have been a nice solid original car when it was restored in 1982.  The restoration work also had to be high quality workmanship based on how well the restoration has held up for the past 26 years.  This car still looks and drives like a new car.

    When the car was restored in 1982 the odometer reading at that time of 30k miles.  It was purchased in 1983 by the local Kansas resident that has owned the car for the past 25 years.  The car has been driven less than 5k miles during this period by its last owner.

   This car drives out as great as it looks.  Just check out our 3 minute driving video.  Everything seems to be working properly including the overdrive which you can engage at around 45 miles per hour.  The gages, speedometer, horn, windshield wipers and hot air heater are all functioning.  This Studebaker is "As Good As It Looks."

    I was pleasantly surprised at how easily this Studebaker started when it was cold, because I could not locate a manual choke knob. Later, I noticed that the car had an automatic choke on the carburetor. I am curious if this is a factory item and Studebaker was ahead of its competetion in that era or if the automatic choke was updated at the time of the restoration. Maybe some knowledgeable Studebaker person out there will share this information with us. Thanks!
