History, Condition and Comments.  This is a good solid Rolling Project customized car that has been titled to the same Wichita area owner since 1980.  This appears to be a show car from the 1980's and 1990 that probably won the owner a lot of car show trophies.  We have probably seen it at Starbird's Rod and Custom Car Show on numberous occasions.  In addition to the obvious customization of the body, the car still has remnants of the metal flake paint job in the engine compartment and pinstriped suspension components.  The car was originally a V8 X44 code car which we understand would be the correct code for COPO cars and COPO clones. The codes also show it to be a Daytona Yellow over Daytona Yellow with black bucket seat interior and console.

This car appears to be pretty solid with no rust problems in the body panels, rear shock towers or floor boards with the exception of the passengers side front floorboard which has some small rust through holes as you can see in the photographs.

The car is pretty complete with the exception of the drive train.  It has good bumpers, good glass, Front Bucket seats and rear seat, console, floor shifter, window trim, radiator, 12 bolt positrac rear end, distributor, power steering and power brake components, headers and door panels.  It does not have a steering wheel and it will come with a set of tires and wheels suitable for rolling purposes only.  It does not come with the rally wheels and and TA radials as photographed - they are for display purposes only.

We got this note on 10/3/2008 from an individual that saw the car on eBay and was pretty confident that his cousin had built the car:

"I am from Pratt, and David Gardner is my cousin. I vaguely remember the car, and I know he showed his at the Starbird shows. He sold it to buy his body shop. I have not talked to him in years, he now lives in Texas. The square headlights were a dead give away! He has always been a creative body man and painter! He was into the metal flake paint jobs. So I am pretty sure this is the same car that he built. I think I will try to get ahold of him, I think he like to see it! Thanks! Joe Schaffer".
