History, Condition and Comments. If you are looking for a really nice original car that has never been modified or messed with in any way, then take a look at this classic gem. We bought this car from the son of the original lady owner. He said his mother had purchased the car new, (The Suburban Ford Derby Kansas Dealer's Sticker was still on the trunk), that the mileage on the odometer represents actual miles and the car has been owned by family members since new. The car has been in storage for the past several year and had a 2004 dated Kansas tag when we purchased it. We put a new battery in it, primed the carburetor and the car started immediately and the engine sounds great. Much to our surprise the air conditioning even worked after setting for 3 plus years and is still charged with the original style R 12 Refrigerant. The body was straight, solid and rust free but the clear coat on the horizontal surfaces was deteriorated so we have done a complete new base coat clear coat urethane refinish in the original color. We have also run the car through our complete 16 Point Service And Safety Check List and make sure everything including the air conditioning is in good working order and that the car is ready to drive and be enjoyed once again.
