1980 Dodge Mirada

*Condition and History. We believe this to be a one owner car that was sold new by Don Schmid Dodge on 2/27/82.  As I recall this was not unusual for Don Schmid to have a number of left over new cars that were sold in later years. 

    This was a garaged car that appears to be all original.  The paint finish and interior are in very nice original condition as you can see by the photos.  The owner of this car was an elderly gentleman currently living in a nursing home.  The car had not been driven to any extent for the past several years. 

Flaws and Observations.  This is a nice original car but is a 1980 model and does have minor dents and dings and paint flaws on the exterior as well as some flaws in the interior as you can see in the photos.  We have done no mechanical reconditioning of this vehicle.  The car's engine starts easily and sounds good.  It does not appear to have any fluid leaks of significance.  The car drives out great.  However, to be a daily driver it should have its brakes checked and will need new tires.  The air conditioning system is complete but is not working.  I also noticed when doing the driving video the transmission shift points seemed high.  Under light acceleration the car shifts to 2nd gear at 30 miles per hour and to 3rd gear at 60.  This may be due to the car being in storage and probably has not been driven at highway speeds for many years.
