This is the kind of classic Corvette that we like to fine - one that hasn't been modified and messed with. This one appears to be very original with the correct air cleaner, intake manifold, smog pump etc.This is a local car that we just got in. We have run it through our shop, doing a 16 point service and safety check. Air conditioning work included installing a new air conditioning compressor seal and servicing the air conditioning system. Brake work includes 4 rebuilt brake calipers and new brake pads. Electrical tune up included new distributor parts and new spark plugs. Our service tech commented that the spark plugs appeared to be the originals giving further support to the fact that the odometer reading likely represents actual mileage. The car drives out good and the engine seems to be sound. We noticed during our test drive that the car seems to "steer" under acceleration. We think this is likely due to the trailing arm bushings being worn. We have ordered new trailing arm bushings and a bolt kit and will install these items before the car is delivered to the new owner.
Cosmetic Flaws. This car as noted seems to be good mechanically but has a number of cosmetic flaws and needs new T Top weather strip. The paint and body blemishes include the point of the nose, left front fender corner, front edge of both doors and the rear bumper. Close up photos of these areas are included. For those not familiar with fiberglass bodies, these minor body flaws photographed are easy to repair. We are presenting this car in its current condition to hold down the purchase cost. However, we are open to having our shop do a complete exterior refinish as a part of a purchase contract. The refinish would run an additional $1900 and would be a base coat clear coat urethane finish with a light color sand and polish.
*Odometer reading 91,891. (Previous Owner Thought This Represented Actual Mileage But Sold As Mileage Exempt Due To Vehicle Being More Than 10 Years Old). As noted above, when we tuned the car it appeared that the car still had its original factory installed sparkplugs, supporting the fact that this may be an 91k actual miles car. Price $9,750.
